About James Brooks

In February 2016, James began working in the Pro Shop at Beauchief Golf Club. He worked there for two years and gained great experience working at a busy municipal golf club. He joined as a member of Hallamshire Golf Club at the start of 2017 as he felt it was a good place for him to develop his game. The move to Hallamshire proved a success as his game quickly progressed and he started working in the Pro Shop there in February 2018. Shortly after he was accepted to be part of the PGA Foundation Degree starting in September 2018.

After three years working at Hallamshire and coaching people of different ages and abilities, James felt like he was in need of a change so decided to leave in May 2021 to pursue a playing career. He played in events across the UK on tours such as 2020 Pro Tour, Jamega Tour and Clutch Pro Tour. After a successful year playing, the cold UK winter rolled in and he decided he wanted to open his own coaching studio and proceeded to launch the Ready Golf brand.

He still aims to play in events throughout the year and his results will be updated on the website.
